Mach Foose 1971 Mustang Mach 1
This 1971 Mach 1 Mustang has been given a new life. Chip and his team dropped the classic ‘71 Mustang body onto a modern 2010 Mustang GT, extending the wheelbase by 3 inches to match.
The flatness of the ‘71 stock rear quarters was addressed by replacing them with the quarters of a ’70 Mustang coupe. These new panels add more definition and width to the body and also allow for wider rear wheels and tires. The front end has been reengineered with modern struts, revised strut towers and a smoothed engine bay, which houses a new Ford Coyote motor.
The custom one-off front grille is inspired by design cues from the ‘70’s muscle car era. A complete new rear fascia and rear quarters allow for new taillights and custom Magnaflow exhaust cut-outs. The modern dashboard and center console from the 2010 GT remain, with new interior features surrounding.
The champagne silver hue features a Mach1 inspired custom graphic. One-off custom billet Shelby Racing inspired wheels and Pirelli tires complete the look. This vehicle debuted at the 2017 SEMA Show in the BASF booth.
