Hey Guys, We have a 100% Brand NEW Foose 1/64 scale casting!!!
The Foose HEMISFEAR! We did a special run of only 250 pieces to celebrate his new exhibit in the Petersen Automotive Museum. These cars will be available tomorrow at the museum. The regular release of this casting will be coming out this fall.
The July 23 display format will consist of a cruise-in for fans to showcase their own hot rods, a display of Chip’s top project models, as well as a panel discussion with leading industry professionals. The day will close with an autograph session with Chip. The display details are as follows:
Location: Petersen Automotive Museum, 6060 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036
- 8am – Display Opens • Chip Foose “Hot Rod” cruise in • Chip Foose will pick the “Best in Show,” “Best Modern Hot Rod,” and “Best Classic Hot Rod”
- 10am – Chip’s famed designs on display • Guests make their way to the lobby to view some of Chip’s greatest work • 10:30am – Panel Discussion in Mullin Grand Salon
- Panelists include: • Jay Ward, Pixar Animation Studios • Don Voth, Owner of the Imposter • Stewart Reed, Instructor at Art Center
- 11:30am – 12:30pm – Autograph Session • In front of the Petersen store
The list of Foose vehicles to be showcased in the Petersen Automotive Museum so far is as follows: • Green Hemisfear Part supercar, part custom and part hot rod,
- Hemisfear is perhaps the most renowned Foose vehicle. It’s a culmination of a 16 year personal dream for Chip, this unique design became the inspiration for the Plymouth Prowler.
- Imposter This 1965 Chevy Impala is not what it appears – underneath the heavily modified skin sits a C6 Corvette. This is a state-of-the-art engineering and performance platform, built for Don and Elma Voth.
- ‘56 Foose F-100 In 2005, as part of the show Overhaulin’, which featured Chip as co-host and lead designer, the truck was “stolen” from the Foose Design lot. Unbeknownst to Chip, his dad Sam led a team of builders and designers in reforming the ’56 into the truck it is today. They were able to use Chip’s drawings as their design template.
