3M MEXICO TRIP RECAP
September 12, 2012
My trip to visit 3M Mexico couldn't have gone any better. I was warmly welcomed not only with smiling faces but with huge Foose/3M banners displayed outside the 3M building. What a way to make a guy feel special!
After a good night's rest, I headed to the Pegaso Training Center in Toluca, MX. where I spoke with 3M customers and distributors. One of the things I discussed was ways we use 3M products in our shop. This turned out to be a very good session and my trip had only just begun. A great group of people came out for the meet and greet event at 3M Mexico. I enjoyed demonstrating how to use the 3M tape to mask some flames with a 3M logo on a hood in front of a few onlooking kids. The design was later completed with a color blend paint for 3M to display. My next stop was at Autoexplora Radio where I did an interview with their DJ and then attended a press conference. After such a long but productive day, we had built up a big appetite and headed out to a local Mexican restaurant. I put on a beautiful somebrero and topped it off with a poncho to match which added some additional fun to the festivities that night.
The next morning I gathered with a group of friends over breakfast and then it was time to sketch some renderings and sign autographs. During this session fans asked me to sign a variety of items from model cars to a motorcycle helmet. I even sketched a ride on the back of an Ipad! It was a fun day and I really enjoyed meeting fans of all ages. As the trip came to an end, I joined a couple friends for a night out to celebrate what turned out to be a really great weekend!
Thank you to all my friends at 3M Mexico! I am looking forward to more trips to Latin America soon.
