It was a very exciting day at SEMA. Chip was presented an award for the Eldorod! It is an honor to receive the prestigious GM award for the 2012 Best of Show Vehicle at SEMA with there being so many other beautiful vehicles in the running. Chip was presented this trophy in the morning and by 10am it was displayed on the center console of the winning ride at the BASF booth for everyone to see.

 

The line at BASF was so long that Chip went out of his way afterwards to take pictures and greet as many fans as he could before having to move on to his next event. This was a big day because the overhauled Chrysler 300 was going to be given away to a lucky SEMA member. Chip checked back in at the set to shoot a few more clips and make sure the grill was put on just right. He took a standard chrome grill and replaced the chrome insert with a black one from a different grill. This contrast really popped once set on the front of the silver and black 300.

 

The week wouldn't have been complete without a stop at the Foose Design booth where Chip signed more autographs, drew more photos and took more pictures. There were so many hot new apparel designs that we couldn't keep them on the shelf! Before exiting to his next event, Chip hopped in the P-32 on display and took it for a little spin around the lot. Everything was still working great!

 

The Pirelli booth was the last autograph session scheduled today and the line was even longer than the earlier session. Once Chip met all his gracious fans, it was time to head back to the set for the big giveaway! The crowd was overwhelmingly large since the winner was required to be present at the time they announced the name. Everyone was anxiously waiting to hear their name called. The lucky winner this year was Rick Walker of Texas.   Now we can't show you pictures of the car, we want to keep that a surprise.  Please tune in to the special SEMA episode of Overhaulin' which should air shortly.
