Stallion Coupe To Displayed With Unique Performance Rig At Overhaulin’ Stage

LAS VEGAS – November 2, 2005 – Unique Performance and Foose Design will unveil a convertible version of the 2006 Foose Stallion Mustang at the SEMA conference on November 1, 2005, in Las Vegas.  The dazzling car, which is based on the 2006 Ford Mustang GT, will be part of the Ford Motor Company display at the show.  Chip Foose will present an overview during a press conference at the Las Vegas Hilton, Pavilion 10 and 11, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1.

“The response to our prototype coupe, which we unveiled at Ford’s booth during the Woodward Dream Cruise, was so strong that we elected to offer a convertible version of the car,” noted Doug Hasty, president and CEO of Unique Performance.  “Both models of the Foose Stallion are on track for production in the first quarter of 2006.  With the top dealers we’ve already signed, we expect the first of these limited production muscle cars to hit the streets early next year.”

The legendary Chip Foose of Foose Design penned the convertible Stallion’s styling.  Unique Performance, a leader in limited production American muscle cars, will assist in the engineering and development of modifications, as well as manage marketing activities.  Detroit based Tecstar, a top OEM supplier and development company, will handle engineering, validation and assembly duties.

“Our vision for this convertible is really going to turn heads and excite Mustang fans,” said Chip Foose, President of Foose Design.  “The Stallion packs some impressive power and our exterior and interior modifications go a long way to distinguish this car from stock Mustangs. It’s also affordable, so enthusiasts can pick up a modern custom muscle car without breaking the bank.”

This exciting program began when Foose was bombarded with requests to recreate his stunning one-off vehicles.  His company, Foose Design, is not structured to build production cars while Unique and Tecstar are experts in this field.

Some of the world’s most well-respected companies were tapped to contribute to this project.  Specialty products from Dupont’s Hot Hues™, Ford Racing, JBA, Baer Brakes, Kenwood and BFGoodrich® will be included into every Foose-designed Stallion.  A total of 3,000 coupe and convertible Stallion Mustangs will be built a year, with prices falling between $38,000 and $40,000, depending on options and performance packages.

“The convertible Foose Stallion was designed for one purpose – to deliver driving pleasure,” added Hasty.  “It’s pure performance wrapped in a clean, stylish body that is well balanced and dazzlingly distinctive.  Anyone who has an opportunity to own either a coupe or convertible Stallion will be able to enjoy a rare and exciting car that is both pleasing to the eye and a kick to drive.”

Unique Performance builds the Shelby G.T.500E and G.T.350SR continuation cars based on vintage Ford Mustangs.  Chip Foose, famous as the lead designer on TLC’s popular series Overhaulin’, is one of the top automotive designers today.  Automakers and individuals worldwide covet his skills and award winning one-off creations.
