FOOSE DESIGN DEBUTS DYNAMIC CUSTOM NEW LINE
OF 2005 CADILLACS AT SEMA SHOW IN LAS VEGAS Limited Edition, Stainless Steel-Topped XLR and Customized SRX Models Will Be Sold Exclusively Through Lund Cadillac of PhoenixHUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., – Chip Foose, the driving force behind the
contemporary customizing prowess of Foose Design, has created two tour-de-force
2005 Cadillacs that will be available as limited production vehicles
exclusively through Lund Cadillac of Phoenix, Arizona. Both Foose Design
versions will make their public debut at the Specialty Equipment Market
Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nov. 2 – 5, 2004. Production numbers and
pricing will be determined following the debut. The first is a two-tone black and silver Cadillac XLR that has been re-designed
with a stunning brushed finish stainless steel top, manufactured by Quality
Metal Craft of Detroit. Foose Design, working with Fitz Modeling at Five Axis
Models in California, clay-modeled the car’s front and rear fascias to produce
a grille and bodywork that give the car a dramatic stance and a truly
formidable look, topped by the dynamic new rooftop. “With the XLR’s distinctive brushed stainless steel top we have recreated a
design element that was popular on the beautiful Cadillacs of the past, like
the Brougham and the Biarritz,” says Foose. “We’ve even incorporated badging
from the early ‘40s to distinguish and enhance the overall look. ” New lower rockers, parking lights integrated into the redesigned front fascia,
Baer Racing brakes, Eibach springs and 22-inch 2005 pre-production Foose Design
wheels help complete the transformation. Engine modifications include a Vortech
ram-air intake system to beef up performance and interior upgrades include an
all-black custom leather cockpit by StitchCraft with stunning silver seat inset
panels that echo the exterior palate. For the Cadillac SRX, Foose Design has
created an SUV that’s both elegant and exhilarating. Like the XLR, the Foose
Design SRX features new lower rockers, front and rear facias, a custom grille,
Baer Racing brakes, Eibach springs and a modified powerplant that also delivers
increased performance through its Vortech ram-air intake system. Inside, the
SRX sports distinctive seat inserts, and a reworked steering wheel and
MagnaFlow exhaust system. Outfitted in Cadillac’s stock “Champagne” color above the beltline, its lower
half is bathed in a custom blend of cinnamon and pearl, creating a distinctive
hue that Foose calls “Sedona Fire.” Two of Cadillac’s new signature mountain
bikes, complete with matching graphics, are mounted on a custom bike rack on
the SRX’s roof. Both the Foose Design/Lund Cadillac XLR and SRX will be showcased in the MHT/
Foose Design display (Booth #43627) located in the Performance Tires and Wheels
section of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Following the SEMA Show, the
limited edition Foose Design XLR and SRX can be ordered exclusively through
Lund Cadillac, the world’s largest exclusive Cadillac dealership, 1131 E. Bell
